We have added a new website dedicated to Radio Control Aviation. I have started generating imagery for radio control flight simulators in conjunction with Harald Bendschneider in Germany. This imagery will be used for the Phoenix flight Simulator and the Reflex-XTR Flight Simulator. Visit our new website at:

Arizona Camping

For those of you not in Arizona, we live in Phoenix and it is HOT this time of year. We went camping this last weekend up on what is known as the Mogollon Rim. This is a panorama of our campsite. We got one good rain shower which made for great napping weather.

Here is a panorama of the Mogollon Rim looking towards Payson Arizona. If you look close, you can see Payson on the far hill. This panorama will be used as a scenery for the Phoenix RC Simulator.
Panoramic Photography

I’ve recently gotten into doing Panoramas. The imagery I am working on is intended as scenery for the Phoenix RC simulator program. I am working these with Jason Znack in Canada who prepares the computer modeling from the imagery I prepare. These images are 360 degrees by 180 degrees; i.e a full hemisphere with the viewing point inside. Here is a recent panorama of the main entrance to the Phoenix Cardinal stadium in Glendale Arizona. You can see the statue of Pat Tillman on the left side.

Coffee Table Album Workshop
by admin on Jun.30, 2010, under Photo Tips & Tricks
Over the last couple of years, a number of in-expensive options have become available for photographers (pro or amateur) to easily produce memorable options. People take a vacation and spend hundreds of dollars and take photographs where they go. Why not spend $25 and showcase your best images in a coffee table album to share with your family and friends. Here is the flyer below. If you’re interested, let me know and join the workshop.

Lately, I have been working on something different, and that is making panoramaic photographs. And to make matters even more complex, I am talking 360degree by 180 degree panoramas. I am planning on using these panoramas for a Radio Control flight Simulator. There is a flight simulator called the “Phoenix Flight Simulator” ( no relationship to Phoenix Arizona). That uses these images for some really great results. Since these are interactive movies, I haven’t figured out how to show them here yet.
Niki at Desert Park

Last week we also conducted “The Mighty Speed Light” workshop here in the studio and then on location. Niki modeled for us at a local desert park. Here are the class images. They did a great job and produced some nice images for Niki’s portfolio. Enjoy.

This last week was really busy. In addition to the PPA Super Monday class, I had an evening session for those that could not sign up for the Super Monday class. At the completion of the class, we went on location with Niki and had a modeling session using the techniques taught in the seminar. Here are the results. Once again, I think the class did a super job. Enjoy.
Family Camping Trip

This last weekend, we took a camping trip up to one of the local lakes. Here is a shot of my grand daughter using a single flash and high-speed sync. See what you think. By the way, this image was made during the middle of the afternoon while every one was getting sun-burned!
